Season 48 Episode 7 Power Rankings
Here’s my power rankings after episode seven! Here are my criteria for making power rankings: it takes into account many factors, including alliances, advantages, idols, strategic resume, position in the game, and future threat to determine a player’s current “win equity.” This doesn’t mean I think the person at the top will win, nor does it mean I believe the person at the bottom will be the next person voted out. What it means is, from now to the end of the game, who is best set up to make it there AND win. Some person may have made a lot of great moves, but in a precarious position that may drop them. Another person may be very safe, but with no real winner possibility, they’re more of a goat and also may find themselves further down the list.

On the Top
Since episode four, this has been my top three in this order. There’s nothing that has been enough to budge them. Kyle and Kamilla share the best move in the game, and the best alliance due to its strength and secrecy. Kyle on top because he seems at the crux of all the decisions. David falls in behind due to his physical prowess and great alliance positioning. My next three get their order shuffled, but there’s not much separating them — and not a ton separating them from the top three spots, either.
On the Bottom
Chrissy, I’m still not getting much from you. I just don’t think you’re respected by the other players, the editors, or something. It’s like Sue from 47 a bit. Don’t let the “+1” by Mitch’s name fool you. That is by default. He went from third to the bottom to second from the bottom. I don’t like his positioning. I don’t like that his story makes him a threat that people can’t let get to the end. He’s going to be a great “What are we going to do?”/not-ready-to-make-a-big-move vote out. The only other faller I want to talk about is Shauhin. He dropped because he’s clocked by my top three in the rankings as being dangerous. This could be good for his game if he makes it to final tribal council, as there will be a jury that respects him, but it might be a long, hard road for him to make it there.
